Boerejongens Coffeeshops spread visitor numbers to stop coronavirus

Crowd Control At Boerejongens Coffeeshops

Dear Customer

We all need to work together to get the coronavirus under control. That obviously applies at the Boerejongens coffeeshops, too. You’re helping us comply with the new safety measures. For that, we are grateful: thank you for playing along! Now, we want to play it even safer and better. That’s why we ask you to join us in spreading the number of customers in our shops across the day as smartly as possible. We need to up our game on crowd control.

Peak Hours

It’s clear to see that nearly all Boerejongens venues experience very busy peak hours. As the graph shows, visitor numbers rise sharply between 4pm and 9pm every day. In normal circumstances, that’s no big deal. However, it definitely is a problem now , since we all need to avoid crowds to prevent the virus from spreading. That’s why we’re asking you for your cooperation in our attempt to spread the number of customers as evenly as possible throughout the day.

Another Curve To Flatten…

Open All Day

The problem certainly isn’t our opening hours. All our coffeeshops are still open all day long to take your orders. The one exception is Boerejongens Center at Utrechtsestraat, which opens a bit later than usual, but here, visitor numbers are evenly spread as it is. We’re mainly asking you to avoid the crowds at our other three locations:

Boerejongens West: open all days from 7am till 0:45am

Boerejongens BIJ: open all days from 10am till 0:45am

Boerejongens Sloterdijk: Mon-Fri  from 7am till 0:45am; Sat/Sun from 9am till 0:45am

Beat The Queue

Avoiding the crowds in the late afternoons and early evenings is full of advantages. Sure, we’re doing this to stop the spread of corona, but fast service is a big plus too. We’re only allowing a few people into the shop at once. That means you’ll have to queue up outside during the rush hours. Not a good idea when you need to keep your distance from other people. If you drop by in the morning, in the early afternoon, or later in the evening, we’ll be able to help you right away.

Thanks For Playing Along!

You’ve known us for long enough to know that we’d love to chat and hang out with customers all day, in all our shops. Sadly, we just can’t do that right now – it’s not even allowed. That’s why we politely yet urgently ask you to come get your Boerejongens groceries in the morning, early afternoon, or after nine at night whenever possible. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. We’re still just as happy to see you as ever – we’re just a bit happier to see you off safely right now…
